Making the most of your stay with us

Our team is on-hand to answer your FAQ’s about our apartments in Cairns, Australia. If you need further assistance, contact us now.

Check-In/Check-Out

Check-in is usually at 2:00 PM. If you arrive early and the apartment is ready, you can check in before that time. If there are guests in the apartment the night before, we will prepare the apartment for you as soon as we can after they leave at 10:00 am. We can also store your luggage until check-in is ready.

Check-out is at 10:00 AM. Leaving later depends on availability that day.

After you book, please let us know what time you are arriving and we will happily send you the instructions to check in via our after hours arrival box.

We also provide the after hours contact number for our after hours team should you need any assistance.

The minimum age for check-in is 18.

Reception and Services

We open reception at 9.00am every day.

We close reception at 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 12:00pm on Saturday and Sunday.

We do have a 24 hours service for when reception is closed, so we are always contactable.

Christmas Day and Good Friday are closed.

Yes, we do have baggage storage available. You can arrange to store your bags at reception so you can enjoy your day.

We have a tour desk that provides many day tours in Cairns. We know a lot about the tours and can help you choose. We can also give advice on activities.

You can book a wide variety of tours via our website or its often a good idea to wait and talk to us at reception so we can help you pick the best ones for a great experience.

No, we don’t offer breakfast, but our tour desk can offer you recommendations. Each room has full cooking facilities to accommodate breakfast desires. We also provide free tea, coffee and milk in an initial starter pack.

No, we don’t have an on-site restaurant, but our tour desk can offer you local recommendations, just a short distance from our apartments.

We have good, strong, free Wi-Fi available to all our guests in all areas of the complex. It is simple to use with just one password for all your electronic devices. You will receive your password at check-in.

Policies

Free cancellation with more than 24 hours’ notice (2pm the day before arrival). We appreciate as much notice as possible for any cancellations.

No deposit is taken when booking. We take the full amount of accommodation the day before arrival.

Early departures and non-arrivals incur full accommodation charges. Please get in touch as soon as possible if you believe you can’t make your stay.

We require full payment the day before arrival.

All payments are expressed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

We can accept payment via credit card (Visa – Mastercard). We have a 1.5% on all credit & debit cards. Payments can also be made using electronic funds transfer (EFT) which does not incur a fee. Please contact the Manager directly if you would prefer to pay by any other method.

Accommodation and Amenities

Cascade Gardens Cairns is absolutely child-friendly with children of all ages welcome.

In a studio or one bedroom apartment, children over 2 years are charged at $35pp per night.

We offer porta cot hire for children under 2 for $5.00 per night and a highchair for your convenience.

All of our apartments have fully equipped kitchens with stove top.

Yes, we provide you with free coffee, sugar, tea, and milk in a starter pack on arrival. We want our guests to be able to unwind as soon as they arrive.

We provide bed linen and bathroom towels, including beach/pool towels, to all our guests for free. We offer self-contained apartments, so only a small soap is provided as part of our starter pack.

Yes, all the apartments have air-conditioners. We also have ceiling fans in all our apartments.

You cannot smoke inside the apartments. If we detect smoke, we will charge extra fees for cleaning and deodorizing. You can smoke on the balcony with the doors closed to prevent smoke from entering the apartment.

No, our rooms do not have a bath or a hot tub, but all our rooms have a shower.

Yes, our rooms either offer a small balcony or patio/terrace.

Yes, we have a laundry room at the complex with coin operated washing machines and dryers. The one and two bedroom apartments also have laundry facilities in the room.

Facilities

Our swimming pool is open all year round from 8:00am – 9:00pm.

There is no lift. We have 2 floors above ground level and 2 small flights of stairs to access these.

There is no spa or wellness centre.

Location

We are 400 meters and only a 5-minute walk to the middle of the city centre, close to all the restaurants and the lagoon pool. The reef terminal is a comfortable walk, only taking 10 minutes to catch your ferry out to enjoy your day on the Reef.

We are only 5km from the Cairns International Airport, which is around a 10-minute drive.

Pet policy

We love our furry friends, but we are unable to accommodate them in our apartments. However, you are welcome to say hello to our friendly in-house cat, Bruiser and dog, Dusty, who will be happy to greet you at reception!
